Demon Seed is a Horror, Science Fiction novel where Dean Koontz explores the possible terrors of Technology and the potential threats of human computer relations. Even if you have never read this novel you might have encountered the main antagonist, the computer Proteus in an episode of the Simpsons where Pierce Brosnan speaks for the insane computer as it attempts to seduce marge to his wicked ways.
Stephen king has created a monster with this book. Pet Sematary is without a doubt one of his more disturbing work, a novel that is sure to make you shiver and lay awake at night.
It has been a long time since I read a new Stephen king book. Well actually not a new one but one that somehow got past me. I think I must have read almost all of them but for some reason, Salem’s lot just sailed past me. I must say I am impressed!
I remember when I was a child, I had and still have a sizable collection of relatives. My parents would from time to time go and visit some of them. Dean Koontz wrote the book watchers back in 1987 and to this day it remains one of his best works. Calling this book a supernatural thriller might be fitting but Koontz gives it credibility with fantastic storytelling and attention to details.
